Miele Hobs Ceran surfaces are powerful, innovative and elegant and provide exceptional performance. With any Miele electric hob you're sure to receive quick heat-up times and a smooth, perfectly flat, easy clean surface.
Miele gas hobs are designed to make operation easy, the unique control configurations provide access to all the burners without interference and the stylish pan supports allow pots to be easily transferred from one burner to another.

Miele Hobs Auto heat-up - The auto heat-up facility gives an initial boost to the normal power output to bring the pan up to temperature rap-dily. The heat then reduces automatically to the chosen output for continued cooking.
Miele Stop and Go function - With the Stop and Go function the power level of all zones in use is automatically reduced to the lowest setting. This allows you to leave the kitchen for brief periods, e.g to answer the door.
Extended Cooking Zones - Some Miele hobs offer zones which extend up to 29 cm in length, to accommodate oval casserole dishes and fish kettles.
Vario cooking zones - Pans of different sizes can be used on the same zone.
HiLight elements - Due to the extremely short heat-up time of the Miele HiLight elements, cooking times are considerably reduced. At the same time, heat is evenly distributed.
Timer - The timer can be used to select a time from 1-99 minutes for any one of the zones. The zone switches off automatically at the end of the time, making cooking easy and safe. The timer can also be used as a minute-minder.

Safety lock - Touching the key symbol locks Miele hobs, preventing any unwanted changes. It can also be activated when the hob is not in use to prevent children from operating it.
Safety switch off - As an extra safety precaution Miele hobs have pre-programmed maximum operating times which depend on the power level being used. The hob will switch itself off automatically if this duration is exceeded when a pan is in place.
Sensor controls - Individual functions and heat levels are easily selected by simply touching the sensor controls.
Miele Hobs Residual heat indicators - There is an indicator for each cooking zone to show whether it is still hot or not.
Peace of mind - If something spills over onto the control panel or you place something like a tea towel over the controls, the hob will switch itself off automatically, to prevent it accidentally burning on or igniting.

Miele Hobs Induction Zones

Induction zones cook via a magnetic field rather than an element. Pans must be ferromagnetic such as enamelled steel, cast iron or magnetic stainless steel. When magnetic based pans are placed on the hob, a magnetic field is generated to produce heat. The field is only generated where the pan lies, so induction cooking is very efficient and saves electricity. It is also extremely quick and as controllable as gas.

MIELE HOBS Residual heat indicators - An "H" shows in the display for each cooking zone to show whether it is still hot or not.

Booster function - One or two zones are fitted with a booster function of 2.3-3 kW, which can be switched on for ten minutes. The different cooking zone sizes means that the booster can be used for a variety of pan sizes, and ensure minimum heating-up times.
