In some Miele Hobs the size of the pan is recognised, and heat is only generated where
a pan is detected, saving energy and time. The zone automatically
switches off when the pan is removed, no more energy will be released,
guaranteeing safety and ease of use. N.B. Features will vary depending on Miele Hobs model. Peace of mind - If something spills over onto the control panel or you place something like a tea towel over the controls, the hob will switch itself off automatically, to prevent it accidentally burning on or igniting. Protection against overheating - The induction zones and the hob switch off automatically if a zone overheats due to an empty pan being heated up. Taking a pan off a hot zone - If a pan is removed from a zone that is switched on, or if an unsuitable pan is used, the power supply to the hob will automatically be switched off. Sensor controls - Individual functions and heat levels are easily selected by simply touching the sensor controls. As the electronic controls are located underneath the ceramic surface, the control area has a smooth, flat finish which is very easy to keep clean. Safety lock - Touching the key symbol locks the hob, preventing any unwanted changes. It can also be activated when the hob is not in use to prevent children from operating it.
