Miele ovens Catalytic liners- On the non pyrolytic Miele ovens, catalytic
liners are fitted to the sides of the oven interior that receive the
heaviest soiling. At temperatures above 250°C, fat is oxidised
so the floor is the only surface to wipe clean. Fan plus - This function works by heating air over a ring element in the back of Miele ovens and then circulating the heated air around the oven cavity. The oven does not usually need to be pre heated because the heated air reaches the food straight away. Because of the even distribution of heat you can bake and roast on different levels at the same time with this function. Fan heat - This function uses the top and bottom heating elements to create the heat. A fan in the back of the oven then distributes the hot air around the oven cavity. With this function cooking can only be done on one level at a time. Conventional heat (Top and Bottom heat) - For baking conventional recipes such as fruit cakes, bread and baked dishes. This function is available on all Miele ovens. With this function cooking can only be done on one level at a time. Top heat - This function uses the top heating element only and is ideal for browning and finishing dishes such as cheese or meringue toppings. Bottom heat - Using bottom heat only, this function is perfect for finishing off pastry bases and for cooking with a bain-marie. Intensive bake - Ideal for foods, which need a crisp base and moist top. Eliminates blind baking of pizzas, quiches and cheesecakes. Full/Economy grill - On this setting you can choose to have the full grill or only the inner elements switched on for grilling large or small quantities of food such as sausages, bacon, fish. Fan grill - The infra red grill and circulation fan work together to quickly distribute heat from the grill element to every part of the food. Excellent for mixed grills, kebabs and chicken pieces. This function is available on all ovens. Auto roast - This automatically sears and seals meat at 23O°C before continuing the roasting process at the lower pre-selected temperature. Used in conjunction with the roast probe, you can achieve perfect results. Roast Probe For perfect roasting results the probe is inserted into the centre of the meat where it constantly monitors the internal temperature of the joint. When there is less than an hour left the time will start to countdown in the display so you know when the roast will be ready. Only from Gentle Bake Miele - The function uses the grill and the bottom heating elements. It is suitable for soufflés andgratins where a crispy finish is required. Defrost - The defrost programme uses the fan to circulate air either at room temperature or up to a maximum of 50°C. Pyrolytic cleaning - Self-cleaning programme for easy oven maintenance. Not all ovens have this feature. Rapid heat Up - The oven uses top and bottom heat and fan oven to heat up to 1 80°C in just 5 minutes. This is available on most ovens either integrated or as a separate function. N.B. Functions will vary from model to model. Please read the individual product specifications for details. Combination versatility The combi Miele ovens are extremely versatile as it combines two ovens in one. The microwave function by itself is ideal for defrosting, reheating and cooking many items. The oven, with its fan heat and browning element offers you all the functions you need for traditional roasting and baking. The great advantage is that the two systems can be run simultaneously, giving you the speed advantage of the microwave, but still ensuring the flavoursome results offered by more conventional cooking methods. Well designed - The distinctive design features found on the new generation of Miele single ovens are also to be found in the combination ovens. The control panel is clear and uncluttered, and the design style continues down through the appliance door. The eye is drawn to the distinctive handle, which maintains the theme in both shape and materials. It is comfortable to hold and easy to open and close. CleanGlass oven door - The inside of the Miele ovens door is made from a sealed piece of smooth glass, which is easy to keep clean; simply wipe off spillages and condensation. The door is also useful as a drop-down surface on which to rest dishes and plates. The stainless steel linen finish oven interior. The oven interior is finished with a new scratch resistant surface that is easy to look after and keep clean. Compared with a traditional smooth surface, the linen finish is resilient to stubborn soiling and it is much more robust. The browning element - With the Miele ovens large browning element, you can grill fish and sausages and brown savoury bakes.
